Hi, blog friends! This has little to do with the Casita except that I would want the same support, but I wanted to share this project with all of you: My friend Amber has dreamed her first documentary film, and I want to do everything I can to help support her in making it a reality. She is running an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds and there’s only 15 days left. If the project touches you too, consider donating a dollar or ten – she is a truly talented artist who is bound to make a thought-provoking and beautiful film.
Stay tuned for Casita Bella news – we’re coming out of a long, deep slumber to decide the fate of the little house!

Two months without a blog post? Unacceptable, I know. Good thing there are much more pressing issues in all of our lives much more difficult to accept. Since I left off, I have done very little to the casita and … Continue reading →
I reached a place a few weeks ago in this little house project where suddenly things were moving faster and smoother. There was a distinct ease about the work, and my relationship with it. I had entered some kind of … Continue reading →
Hey folks, I wrote part of this and never published it, but thought it might be helpful/interesting to other Tiny Housers: The time has come to make another commitment and buy some house siding. It’s a rare thing in this … Continue reading →
Waaay too much happened in the last six weeks to clue you all in flirtatiously. I’m going to get right down to detailing the business of winterizing this casita from the comfort of my 120-degree bath while Bella shivers around … Continue reading →
Erratic sleep schedules, stress levels leading to angry cussing (a rarity for me) and stress headaches, Facebook and sugary treat escapism, feeling like I don’t have energy for anyone else, occasions verging on insanity… it’s all in a tiny house … Continue reading →
